Baseball Recap: Shasta Wolves vs. Truckee Wolverines
Shasta won the last time they faced Truckee and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Wolves came out on top against the Wolverines by a score of 8-3. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wolves.
Shasta got a great performance from Jayden Oliver as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched. Oliver has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Reed Ranker was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Eli Kennedy was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
Shasta's victory bumped their record up to 12-10. As for Truckee, with the defeat, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 14-7.
