Basketball Game Preview: Elizabeth Forward Warriors vs. Greensburg Salem Golden Lions

The Elizabeth Forward Warriors will venture away from home to face off against the Greensburg Salem Golden Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Elizabeth Forward knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Greensburg Salem likes a good challenge.

Last Tuesday, Elizabeth Forward blew past East Allegheny, posting a 74-45 victory. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 25 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Greensburg Salem came up short against Derry on Wednesday and fell 54-41. The Golden Lions haven't had much luck with the Trojans recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Elizabeth Forward has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.6 points per game. As for Greensburg Salem, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.

Elizabeth Forward strolled past Greensburg Salem in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 by a score of 63-44. Will Elizabeth Forward repeat their success, or does Greensburg Salem have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
