Soccer Game Preview: Pigeon Forge vs. Powell

The Pigeon Forge Tigers will take on the Powell Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Powell took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Pigeon Forge, who comes in off a win.

Pigeon Forge is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They never let Cosby get on the board and left with a 14-0 win last Tuesday. Considering Pigeon Forge have won eight contests by more than three goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Panthers on Tuesday. Powell lost 3-0 to Lenoir City. The loss continues a trend for Powell in their meetings with Lenoir City: they've now lost seven in a row.

Powell's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9-2. As for Pigeon Forge, their victory bumped their record up to 10-4-1.

Pigeon Forge took their win against Powell in their previous meeting back in March of 2015 by a conclusive 4-1 score. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
