Football Recap: Lighthouse Christian Comes Up Short

Lighthouse Christian had lost three straight on the road, but on Saturday they dropped down to 2-7 to make it four. They took a blow against the Christ Prep Academy Patriots, falling 41-0. The Chargers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Patriots from their previous meeting back in November of 2024.

As for Christ Prep Academy, the win keeps them at an undefeated 11-0. Considering they have won ten contests by more than 24 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Christ Prep Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Justice Criniere led the charge by throwing for 241 yards and two touchdowns while completing 72% of his passes, and also rushing for 43 yards and one score. Those 241 passing yards gave Criniere a new career-high. Elijah Ross was another key back, rushing for 79 yards and a pair of TDs on only seven carries.

Lighthouse Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Christ Prep Academy, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Atlas HomeSchool at 4:00 p.m. on the 19th. The Patriots will be up against the Rattlers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 36.91 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
