Basketball Game Preview: Goldwater Bulldogs vs. Prescott Badgers

The Goldwater Bulldogs will venture away from home to face off against the Prescott Badgers at 2:30 p.m. on Monday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Goldwater has struggled recently with five defeats in a row, while Prescott will arrive with five straight wins.

Last Wednesday, Goldwater was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 47-43 to Shadow Mountain.

Meanwhile, Prescott took their game on Wednesday with ease, bagging a 75-33 victory over Flagstaff. The Badgers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 22 points or more this season.

Prescott pushed their record up to 10-5 with the win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.0 points per game. As for Goldwater, their loss dropped their record down to 4-11.

Things could have been worse for Goldwater, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 62-47 loss to Prescott when the teams last played back in January of 2016. Can Goldwater avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
