Basketball Game Preview: Ross Rams vs. Valley View Spartans

The Ross Rams are taking a road trip to take on the Valley View Spartans at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Sunday, Ross earned a 42-29 win over Conner.

Ross got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Lanie Lipps out in front who posted 16 points in addition to five assists and four steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Lipps has scored at least a third of Ross' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carmen Bosse, who put up 14 points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Valley View rang in the new year with a 38-28 win over Carlisle on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Spartans.

Ross' record is now 8-4. As for Valley View, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

Ross ended up a good deal behind Valley View in their previous matchup back in February of 2021, losing 51-36. Can Ross avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
