Softball Game Preview: Friends' Central vs. Hill School Rams

Friends' Central will head out to face off against the Hill School Rams at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Friends' Central fell victim to Academy of the New Church and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Lions, falling 11-0. Surprisingly, this marked Friends' Central's seventh straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Meanwhile, Hill School was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 7-3 to Hun.

Hill School saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sammie Faella, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Friends' Central's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-3. As for Hill School, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.

Friends' Central skirted past Hill School 8-6 in their previous meeting back in April of 2022. Will Friends' Central repeat their success, or does Hill School has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
