Basketball Recap: Horizon Takes a Loss

Horizon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a hard 53-37 fall against the Timber Creek Wolves. While losing is never fun, the Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 598th, while the Wolves are ranked 217th).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Timber Creek to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cameron Graham, who posted nine points. Graham is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Badr Kazma, who went 5 of 7 en route to 10 points and six rebounds.

Horizon's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Timber Creek, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-4.

Horizon wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 65-38 loss against Lake Brantley on the 3rd. As for Timber Creek, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 69-46 defeat against Montverde Academy Gold on the 3rd.
