Softball Recap: Comfort Bobcats/Deer vs. St. Anthony Yellowjackets
Comfort was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Anthony Yellowjackets. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bobcats/Deer of the 5-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2020.
Jordan Judkins made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 2-for-2. That's the most runs she has posted over her last 13 games. Another player making a difference was Taygan Rust, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI.
Comfort's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for St. Anthony, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Comfort will venture away from home to take on Bandera at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bandera has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.42 runs per game on average), something Comfort will no doubt try to take advantage of. St. Anthony will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against San Antonio Christian at 7:00 p.m. on March 15th.
