Baseball Recap: Corning Cardinals vs. Willows Honkers
It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Corning ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-8 win over the Willows Honkers. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Brandon Cordova was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He tossed 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits.
