Volleyball Recap: Butternut Takes a Loss

Butternut lost against Phillips back in October of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Midgets fell 2-0 to the Loggers. The Midgets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Gianna Nahring paced Butternut's offense, picking up six kills. Nahring got some help from Lizzie Pritzl and her five assists.

Phillips was led to victory by Raelee Williams and Chloe Esterholm. Williams had nine digs, while Esterholm had four digs.

Butternut's defeat dropped their record down to 13-17. As for Phillips, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-15 record this season.

Butternut didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Cornell on the 11th. As for Phillips, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Gilman on the 11th.
