Everything went their way against the South Davidson Wildcats on Tuesday as the East Davidson Golden Eagles made off with a 78-56 win. With that victory, the Golden Eagles brought their scoring average up to 50.5 points per game.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead East Davidson to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tegin Hedrick, who posted 27 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Hedrick has scored at least a third of East Davidson's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Landin Newton, who put up 22 points.
East Davidson's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 3-12. As for South Davidson, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-14.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Davidson will take on Thomasville at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
