Linn entered their tilt with Southern Boone on Friday with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Eagles. That's two games straight that the Wildcats have won by just one run.

Sophia Voss spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on five hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Paige Senevey, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs. That's the most runs she has posted over her last 12 matchups. Heslie Higginbotham was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Linn's record now sits at 22-4. As for Southern Boone, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 18-9.
