Basketball Recap: Myles Fuentes and Mason Fuentes Secure Win for Riviera Prep

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Riviera Prep had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They took down the Florida Christian Patriots 68-53. 68 seems to be a good number for the Bulldogs as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.

Riviera Prep was led to victory by Mason Fuentes and Myles Fuentes. Mason almost dropped a double-double with 19 points and nine rebounds, while Myles went 7 for 12 to rack up 17 points in addition to six assists and six boards. That's the most points Myles has posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Alonzo Metz, who earned ten points.

The victory made it two in a row for Riviera Prep and bumps their season record up to 15-10. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.0 points over those games. As for Florida Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 17-9.

Riviera Prep didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 54-50 win against Westminster Christian on the 7th. Florida Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
