Soccer Recap: Winnetonka Comes Up Short

Winnetonka lost against Excelsior Springs back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Griffins came up short against the Tigers, falling 8-0. That's two games in a row now that Winnetonka have lost by exactly eight goals.

This is the second loss in a row for Winnetonka and nudges their season record down to 0-2. As for Excelsior Springs, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Coincidentally, Winnetonka and Excelsior Springs will both be playing Central the next time they take the pitch. The Tigers will host the Indians at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Griffins will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
