Softball Recap: Jupiter Comes Up Short

Jupiter dropped their record down to 16-4 on Thursday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Dwyer Panthers, falling 9-1. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Warriors couldn't push the score so high this time.

As for Dwyer, their record is now 9-12. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory they have posted against Jupiter since March 13, 2021.

For Dwyer's part, Haylee Taylor was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. Taylor was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024.

In other batting news, Alyssa Dover was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Pratt, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jupiter will take on Park Vista at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cobras have averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season. As for Dwyer, they will face off against Centennial at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season.
