Bishop McGuinness entered their tilt with Winston-Salem Preparatory Academy on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Phoenix 40-6. The contest marked the Villains' most dominant win of the season so far.

It was another big night for Tristan Styers, who threw for 194 yards and three touchdowns while completing 76.5% of his passes, and also punched in one score on the ground.

Bishop McGuinness didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Winston-Salem Preparatory Academy to a completion percentage of just 35%. The Villains hasn't an opponent to post a completion percentage of 0.55 or higher in six consecutive games dating back to last season.

Despite the defeat, Winston-Salem Preparatory Academy saw an underclassman step up: freshman Jamari Wilson rushed for 35 yards and one TD. Wilson also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making four total tackles and defending three passes.

Bishop McGuinness' victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Winston-Salem Preparatory Academy, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.
