Soccer Recap: Danvers Takes a Loss

Danvers came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 4-0 to the Masconomet Regional Chieftains. While losing is never fun, Danvers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts soccer rankings (they are ranked 94th, while Masconomet Regional are ranked tenth).

Danvers' loss dropped their record down to 7-5-2. As for Masconomet Regional, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Danvers will head out to square off against Marblehead at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Masconomet Regional, they will take on Swampscott at 11:00 a.m. on Monday.
