Softball Game Preview: Sage Creek Bobcats vs. Olympian Eagles

The Sage Creek Bobcats are taking a road trip to challenge the Olympian Eagles at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Sage Creek will be strutting in after a victory while Olympian will be coming in after a defeat.

Sage Creek took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They never let Rancho Buena Vista get on the board and left with a 3-0 win. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Bobcats as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

The team relied heavily on Kaimana Coleman, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Olympian fell victim to Otay Ranch and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Mustangs, falling 12-0. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Mustangs: they've now lost seven in a row.

Olympian saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kailynn Robeson, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Olympian's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9-1. As for Sage Creek, their win bumped their record up to 7-8-1.

Sage Creek couldn't quite get it done against Olympian in their previous meeting back in March of 2021 as they fell 12-7. Can the Bobcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
