Softball Recap: Blue Mountain Eagles vs. Pottsville Crimson Tide

Blue Mountain can now show off 12 landslide victories after their most recent match on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Pottsville Crimson Tide an 11-0 shutout. The win was nothing new for Blue Mountain as they're now sitting on 11 straight.

Marla Freiwald made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Freiwald has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 11 consecutive pitching appearances. Freiwald was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with a double and an RBI.

In other batting news, Blue Mountain let Elle Walasavage and Madison Heim loose on the outfield. Walasavage went 2-for-4 with a home run, five RBI, and two runs, while Heim scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3.
