Baseball Recap: Meigs Comes Up Short

Meigs fell victim to Athens and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 7-0. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Marauders were not able to get on the board.

This is the second loss in a row for Meigs and nudges their season record down to 3-3. As for Athens, they now have a winning record of 4-3-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Meigs is set to face off against their familiar foe Alexander at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Athens will take on rival Wellston at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
