Softball Recap: Powell Takes a Loss

Monday just wasn't the day for Powell's offense. They fell just short of the Farragut Admirals by a score of 1-0 on Monday. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Admirals: they've now lost eight in a row.

Rianna Boone spent all 8.2 innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up six Ks.

Powell's loss dropped their record down to 24-11. As for Farragut, they are on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 17 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 33-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Powell nor Farragut have any future games scheduled.
