Kaplan's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They came out on top against the Acadiana Renaissance Charter Academy Eagles by a score of 6-0 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The result was nothing new for the Pirates, who have now won seven games by six runs or more so far this season.

Kaplan's win bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Acadiana Renaissance Charter Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-6.

Kaplan wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 6-4 loss against St. Edmund on the 22nd. As for Acadiana Renaissance Charter Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 4-3 defeat against Lafayette Christian Academy on the 21st.
