Recap: Dana Hills Dolphins vs. Liberty Lions

The Dana Hills Dolphins waltzed into their game Saturday with five straight wins but they left with six. They had just enough and edged Liberty out 71-69. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Dana Hills to victory, but perhaps none more so than Collin Haugh, who scored 27 points. The matchup was Haugh's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Logan Scodeller, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten assists.

Dana Hills has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. As for Liberty, their loss dropped their record down to 9-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dana Hills will take on Bishop Diego at TBD on Thursday. Bishop Diego will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 953rd, while Dana Hills is ranked 36th). Liberty and Las Lomas will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Las Lomas is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 61.3 points per game.
