Mount Vernon took down New Diana on Monday, a win that might not have happened without Samantha Edge's standout performance. Edge wasn't messing around, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits (and only one walk). The pitching appearance was her fifth straight with two or fewer walks.
