After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lathrop, Ceres was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They put the hurt on the Pacheco Panthers with a sharp 3-0 win. This was a revenge game for the Bulldogs: when they faced off against the Panthers back in September, they had to take a 3-2 defeat.

Ceres was especially dominant in the second set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-15, 25-17.

When it comes to explaining why Pacheco lost, don't look at Lidia (Azul) Diaz Ramirez. Despite the final result, she had nine digs and three aces.

Ceres has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-7 record this season. As for Pacheco, their loss dropped their record down to 10-13.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Ceres is set to face off against their familiar foe Grace Davis at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Pacheco will square off against rival Beyer at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
