Football Recap: Bellflower Skates Past Whittier with Ease

Bellflower got themselves on the board against Whittier on Monday, but Whittier never followed suit. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Cardinals 32-0. The Buccaneers' victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Kendyll Upshaw produced another solid effort throwing for 153 yards and three touchdowns, while also rushing for 95 yards on only nine carries. Jade Walker was in the mix as well, providing Bellflower with two TDs.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Bellflower was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 224 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 153 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Bellflower's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Whittier, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bellflower will welcome WISH Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Whittier, they will host Pacifica Christian at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
