Basketball Recap: Tyrek Jordan's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Westlake over Leonardtown

If Westlake was riding high fresh off their 78-33 takedown of Patuxent last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Westlake Wolverines fell 57-50 to the Leonardtown Raiders on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Wolverines in their matchups with the Raiders: they've now lost three in a row.

Westlake lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Tyrek Jordan, who posted 15 points and six rebounds. Jordan is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. Darius Kemper was another key player, putting up 11 points and six boards.

Westlake's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Leonardtown, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3.

Westlake will face off against McDonough at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Leonardtown, they will challenge Thomas Stone at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Leonardtown has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 213 points over their last three contests.
