            The Lathrop Spartans will head out to  challenge the Beyer Patriots  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Lathrop is coming into the  contest hot, having won their last six games.
On Friday, Lathrop took their  matchup  with ease, bagging  a  42-7 win over Central Valley. The result was nothing new for the Spartans, who have now won five games by 27  points or more  so far this season.
This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to  Treydon Santos and  Humza Habibi. Santos rushed for 53 yards and two  touchdowns on only six carries while  Habibi rushed for 36 yards and one  TD.
 Lathrop was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 229  rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Central Valley only  rushed for 83.
 Meanwhile, Beyer came up short against Ceres on Friday and fell  25-14. The Patriots haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.
 Lathrop's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Beyer, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.

It's a different story for Beyer, though, as  they've been averaging  an even more impressive 249.4  total yards.  Everything came up roses for Lathrop against Beyer in their previous meeting  back in November of 2024, as the  squad secured  a  56-6 win.
