Steele was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 38-21 to the Midview Middies. That's two games in a row now that the Comets have lost by exactly 17 points.

Leah DiFranco was her usual excellent self, going 7 for 12 en route to 17 points in addition to six steals and five boards for Midview. Hunter Crum was another key player, putting up eight points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Steele's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Midview, the victory snapped their losing streak at eight games and leaves them with a 5-11 record.

Steele and Midview could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. Steele will take on Berea-Midpark at 5:30 p.m. on Friday down 450 places (630 vs. 180). Meanwhile, Midview (ranked 540th) will meet Avon Lake (ranked 48th) at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
