Basketball Recap: Waterloo West Takes a Loss

Waterloo West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were outmatched by the Xavier Saints and fell 86-47. While losing is never fun, the Wahawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 103rd, while the Saints are ranked 25th).

Waterloo West's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 3-3. As for Xavier, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Waterloo West will take on Prairie in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Xavier and Washington will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
