Basketball Recap: San Antonio Patriots Homeschool's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak on the Road

San Antonio Patriots HomeSchool was the 67-45 winner over Cornerstone Christian when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. San Antonio Patriots HomeSchool fell 78-70 to the Cornerstone Christian Warriors on Friday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Saturday (68), San Antonio Patriots HomeSchool still had to take the loss.

Benjamin Wagner was his usual excellent self, shooting 6-for-8 from beyond the arc and dropping a double-double on 29 points and ten rebounds for Cornerstone Christian. Wagner's evening made it eight games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Xander Parra, who went 5 of 9 en route to 14 points and eight assists.

San Antonio Patriots HomeSchool's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 31-9. As for Cornerstone Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 18 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 25-2 record this season.

While San Antonio Patriots HomeSchool had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
