Plainview had won four straight home games and Pressley Alexander did her part to make it five on Saturday. The Pirates walked away with a 2-0 win over the Bancroft-Rosalie Panthers with plenty of help from Alexander, who had seven digs and two aces. She is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last three games she's played.

While Plainview won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-14.

Plainview's victory bumped their record up to 15-6. As for Bancroft-Rosalie, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-13.

Plainview didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Stanton on the 11th. As for Bancroft-Rosalie, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Randolph on the 11th.
