Volleyball Recap: Excelsior Classical Academy Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Excelsior Classical Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Eno River Academy Bobcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

While Excelsior Classical Academy ultimately came up short, they really made Eno River Academy work, particularly in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 26-24, 25-15.

Juniper Wells paced Excelsior Classical Academy's offense, picking up six kills. Wells got some help from Alejandra Orozco and her seven assists. Finally, Stephanie Llanas Tavera kept Excelsior Classical Academy's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Excelsior Classical Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Eno River Academy, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.

Coincidentally, Excelsior Classical Academy and Eno River Academy will both be playing Henderson Collegiate the next time they take the court. The Bobcats will host the Pride at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Flying Lions will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
