After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Badger, Cardinal was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Newton Falls Tigers with a sharp 5-2 win. The score was all tied up 2-2 at the break, but Cardinal were the better team in the second half.

Cardinal's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Newton Falls, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Coming up, Cardinal will venture away from home to take on Pymatuning Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cardinal will be up against Pymatuning Valley's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.5 goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Newton Falls, they will square off against Salem at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Salem's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Newton Falls' offense will have their work cut out for them.
