Basketball Game Preview: Indian Valley Braves vs. Newcomerstown Trojans + How To Watch

The Indian Valley Braves are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will face off against the Newcomerstown Trojans at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Indian Valley is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Licking Heights on Monday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Braves were outmatched by the Hornets and fell 69-23. The Braves were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-20.

Meanwhile, Newcomerstown unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 48-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Marietta on Friday.

Indian Valley couldn't quite get it done against Newcomerstown when the teams last played back in December of 2024 as they fell 63-55. Can the Braves avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
