Volleyball Game Preview: Springdale Bulldogs vs. Southside Mavericks + Official Tickets

Springdale hasn't had much luck against Southside recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Bulldogs will square off against the Mavericks at 6:30 p.m. Springdale will be strutting in after a win while Southside will be coming in after a defeat.

Springdale took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Rogers Heritage by a score of 3-1. The victory continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the War Eagles: they've now won three in a row.

The final score came out to 25-17, 24-26, 25-18, 26-24.

Meanwhile, Southside faced Fayetteville in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Mavericks fell 3-1 to the Bulldogs.

Southside couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Fayetteville a tough time in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 14-25, 33-31, 28-26.

Springdale's win bumped their record up to 7-17-1. As for Southside, their loss dropped their record down to 15-6-1.

Springdale suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Southside in their previous meeting back in September. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
