Volleyball Recap: Lighthouse Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Lighthouse Christian Academy lost against Shakamak back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Lions lost 3-0 to the Lakers. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-17, 25-8.

Taylor Helbert paced Lighthouse Christian Academy's offense, picking up 11 kills. Helbert got some help from Jane Holdeman and her 12 assists. Helbert was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Lighthouse Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Shakamak, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lighthouse Christian Academy will face off against Mooresville Christian at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Shakamak, they will take on West Vigo at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
