Softball Recap: Modoc Braves vs. Fall River Bulldogs

Modoc stacked an 11th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 10-2 margin over the Fall River Bulldogs. Winning may never get old, but Modoc sure is getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

Caelli DePaul was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 16 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. DePaul has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive pitching appearances. DePaul was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while getting on base in two of her five plate appearances.

In other batting news, Julianna Minto was a standout: she scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-5. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Machanta Morris was another key contributor, scoring a run while going 3-for-5.

Modoc pushed their record up to 12-1 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Fall River, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4-1.
