Basketball Preview: Robinson Knights vs. Chamberlain Storm
The Robinson Knights's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Chamberlain Storm at 7:00 p.m. on February 5th. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
In what's become a running theme this season, Robinson gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They blew past Freedom 60-15 on the road. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 33-8.
Meanwhile, Chamberlain had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They came out on top against Plant City by a score of 21-11.
Chamberlain can attribute much of their success to Jesenia Rodriguez, who scored five points, and Alyssa Dejesus, who scored ten points.
Robinson has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season. As for Chamberlain, their win bumped their record up to 7-12.
Everything came up roses for Robinson against the Storm in their previous meeting back in November of 2023 as the team secured a 58-13 victory. With Robinson ahead 37-3 at the half, the game was all but over already.
