Volleyball Recap: Hurricane Tigers vs. Snow Canyon Warriors
The home team had come away the winner the last four times Hurricane and Snow Canyon had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Tigers lost 3-0 to the Warriors on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Tigers have suffered since March 18th.
Hurricane was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Snow Canyon work for it, especially in the third set. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-17, 29-27.
Thailand Gubler paced Hurricane's offense, picking up nine kills. Gubler got some help from Kasey Kearney and his 20 assists. Quinn Hohbein controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Hurricane's loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Snow Canyon, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-9.
Hurricane wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Basic on the 18th. As for Snow Canyon, they will square off against Crimson Cliffs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
