Basketball Recap: Dexter Takes a Loss

Dexter lost against Tularosa back in December of 2021 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Dexter Demons had to suffer through a 74-29 loss at the hands of the Tularosa Wildcats. Having soared to a lofty 62 points in the game before, the Demons couldn't push the score so high this time.

Despite the defeat, Dexter saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Cj Granados posted 17 points in addition to five boards and three steals.

Dexter's loss dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Tularosa, they pushed their record up to 16-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Dexter will challenge Ruidoso at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Tularosa, they will square off against New Mexico Military Institute at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Tularosa knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matches -- so hopefully New Mexico Military Institute likes a good challenge.
