Shorewood won the last time they faced Archbishop Murphy and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Stormrays put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 9-2 victory. Considering the Stormrays have won six games by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Jameson Connolly made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. Those ten strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kanata Barber, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March of 2024. Lorenzo Jaramillo was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-5.

The win made it two in a row for Shorewood and bumps their season record up to 9-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games. As for Archbishop Murphy, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-6.

Looking ahead, Shorewood will head out on the road to take on Mountlake Terrace at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Archbishop Murphy, they will welcome Cascade at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
