Baseball Recap: Heppner/Ione Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Heppner/Ione came into Friday's matchup having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They never let the Weston-McEwen/Griswold Tiger Scots get on the board and left with a 21-0 victory on Friday. The Mustangs' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Heppner/Ione's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Weston-McEwen/Griswold, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Heppner/Ione will face off against McLoughlin at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mustangs will need to watch out since the Pioneers have now posted at least ten runs in their last four games. As for Weston-McEwen/Griswold, they are taking a road trip to take on Riverside at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
