Baseball Recap: Las Lomas' Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

Las Lomas and Menlo School squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Las Lomas had to settle for second. They fell just short of Menlo School by a score of 2-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat Las Lomas has suffered since May 9, 2024.

Las Lomas saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cruz Lopez, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Las Lomas moved to 16-12-1 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak. As for Menlo School, they are on a roll lately: they've won 19 of their last 20 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-8 record this season.

Las Lomas does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Menlo School, they will challenge Woodland Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cardinals will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something the Knights surely won't give up without a fight.
