Baseball Game Preview: IMG Academy Gray Ascenders vs. Parrish Community Bulls

IMG Academy Gray is headed out to face Parrish Community after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. IMG Academy Gray blew past Central Pointe Christian Academy 11-2 on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Ascenders in their matchups with the CPCA: they've now won three in a row.

Norm Cherrett looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Troy Carpenter, who fired off two home runs and three RBI while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Julian Braga, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Parrish Community got the win against IMG Academy Gold on Wednesday by a conclusive 13-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulls.

Tyler Brown was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Brown was also big at the plate, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

In other pitching news, Daniel Norbeck looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single hit, only an earned run while striking out ten over four innings pitched.

Back at the plate, Jayden Peters was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Jonathan Maassen was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
