Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Barnstable). They took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging an 89-54 win over the Cape Cod Academy Seahawks. Given the Red Hawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 81st, while the Seahawks are ranked 204th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Cape Cod Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Harrison Lauf and Mike Berry. Lauf went 8 of 17 en route to 23 points, while Berry almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds.

The victory (which was Barnstable's fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-3. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.5 points per game. As for Cape Cod Academy, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-4.

Barnstable will head out to take on Nauset Regional at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Barnstable's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four games. As for Cape Cod Academy, they will be playing at home against Monomoy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
