Baseball Game Preview: Millard Eagles vs. Enterprise Wolves

Millard hasn't had much luck against Enterprise recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Eagles will face off against the Wolves at 3:30 p.m. Millard has given up an average of 9.7 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Millard came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Manti, falling 13-2. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Eagles couldn't push the score so high this time.

Millard saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Branson Adams, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Enterprise fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Parowan on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Rams by a score of 7-6.

Trek Jones made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 4-for-4 with one run and one RBI. Jaxon Stauffer was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

Millard's record is now 4-12. As for Enterprise, their record now sits at 7-15.

Millard suffered a grim 22-6 defeat to Enterprise in their previous matchup back in March of 2025. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
