Baseball Recap: Schoolhouse Prep Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Schoolhouse Prep can now relate to. They fell just short of the Brito Panthers by a score of 6-5 on Tuesday. The Wolfpack haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Angel Eysseric was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out seven batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits.

On the hitting side, Francisco Pichardo was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Rogelio Perez, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Schoolhouse Prep's loss dropped their record down to 13-12. As for Brito, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-14.

While Schoolhouse Prep had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday.
