Baseball Recap: Fluvanna County Picks Up Eighth Consecutive Win

Fluvanna County had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Albemarle on Monday. The Flying Flucos were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Patriots. Considering the Flying Flucos have won seven contests by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory was the eighth in a row for Fluvanna County, bringing their record up to 11-4. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Albemarle, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.
